As part of my Master's thesis, my team and I developed a fully functioning Indoor Positioning System at Ericsson, Finland. WiFi fingerprinting was chosen as the underlying technique since it's a purely software based solution and WiFi hotspots already deployed there (as well as in any public area). I additionally utilized the system to create an indoor location-based service utilizing a PaaS that I was also working on at the same time. Details can be found in my Master's thesis.
Kupla, the Finnish word for bubble, is what my team and I chose to call our IDBM project outcome. Our task was to design a smartphone application for students. Apart from me, our team consisted of 2 designers and a business student. We were to design the application from scratch, without actually developing it. Our sponsoring company 'Introdex' would take care of that aspect.
Finally, after an intense year filled with two workshops, regular meetings with sponsors, a visit to the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and hours upon hours of brainstorming and iterating, we presented 'Kupla', our iOS application for students.
Unfortunately, Introdex went bankrupt during the course of the project and the application never saw the light of day. However, presenting the idea to the IDBM audience and external participants with my wonderful team remains one of my proudest moments.

WebRTC Hack at TADHACK Madrid
A WebRTC-based app that was developed by Afaque Hussain and me was one of the winners at TADHACK Madrid, held in June 2014. The app was called 'Super Streamer' and it allowed a user to broadcast a WebRTC video stream to multiple users by simply sharing a url.
The app was originally built for easy checking of the status of the foosball table in the office. In the idea I presented at TADHACK, if you are in a conference call and need to show something in front of you to the other participants in the call, you can simply share the url of your broadcast stream via SMS. The url was to be sent using Nexmo's SMS API
